BARB CAMPAGNA
OFFICE MANAGER
Barbara Campagna is an experienced professional who brings more than 30 years of legal and administrative experience to her role as office manager of Engel & Associates.
As the Office Manager, she is responsible for all office procedures, and uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment, as well as making sure that the client’s needs are taken care of.

VERONICA ROJAS
LICENSED PARALEGAL
Veronica obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminology, focus in Law at Carleton University, and graduated from the Paralegal program at Algonquin College.
Veronica started her career as a Court Reporter at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa. She first joined Engel & Associates as a Legal Assistant, managing routine and legal administrative work and assisting in the preparation of legal and court documents. Veronica is now a licensed Paralegal, focusing primarily on Provincial Offences and Summary Offence matters.

AVERY BARRINGTON
LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Avery graduated from Carleton University with her BA (Honours) degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, concentrating in Law, with a minor in Forensic Psychology.
She started at Engel & Associates as a student in September 2023, completing an 8-month double placement consisting of frequent case management appearances across various jurisdictions, reviewing disclosure and case materials, and observing criminal defence counsel during legal proceedings.
Avery is now a legal assistant providing direct support to counsel.
DARCY MAYER
Darcy Mayer is a law student at the University of Ottawa, focusing her studies on criminal law. She has worked with Engel & Associates throughout law school and will be articling with the firm beginning in the summer of 2026.
During law school, Darcy gained practical experience at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, where she worked in the criminal division, assisting clients facing a variety of charges. She supports the lawyers at Engel & Associates on a wide range of criminal matters and assists with court appearances. Before joining the firm, Darcy worked at another criminal defence practice, further developing her skills and commitment to advocacy in the criminal justice system.
Darcy completed her undergraduate degree at Carleton University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in law. At graduation, she was awarded the Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
Originally from Gatineau, Darcy is able to assist clients in both English and French.
TATIANA ROBLES
Tatiana Robles has been with our firm since November 2024. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she worked in both the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice for over 15 years as a clerk/registrar. Her knowledge of the law, statutes and administrative procedures is extensive. She helped with the implementation of the e-orders in 2014 and in 2017 was appointed as the Regional Trainer in Ottawa and conducted training sessions for the ins and outs of bails in different cities in the East Region. She has always pursued a career in the legal field and done so as the law and assisting others have always been and will be her passion.
